Due to the overwhelming response to the Danny Michel concert on April 18 we have added a second show. This will be a matinee on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at 1:30 p.m.
This show will highlight Michel’s special relationship with the countries which influence his sound.
During the last two decades, Michel has spent a lot of time in Belize, where in recent years he has written and recorded music. It was in Belize that he filmed the video for Feather Fur and Fin (the title track from his 2008 album), wrote the 2010 album Sunset Sea and recorded his most recent record, Black Birds Are Dancing Over Me with The Garifuna Collective, which earned him a 2012 Juno nomination for world album of the year.
Michel, from Kitchener-Waterloo, will be performing as part of a trio with Davide Direnzo and Mark McIntyre. He will also tell tales of Belize and his scholarship fund for local high school students.Over the years, Michel’s fans have donated $68,000 through an online fundraising campaign and Michel continues to make regular visits to the school to take part in graduation ceremonies.
Tickets are $25 and available here or contact The Creemore Echo at 705-466-9906. Service fees apply to all credit and debit purchases.

That may seem like a bit of an overstatement and we are not prone to bragging, but if you put on your Canadian-lyric-trivia thinking cap or, just keep reading, you will know where we are going with that one. So, here is everything that we are giving you this fall:
